Internet infrastructure company cPanel recently announced that it was setting up a new technology partnership with Alibaba Cloud. Now cPanel & WHM are immediately available in the Alibaba Cloud International Marketplace.

Launched in 2009, Alibaba Cloud is the data intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group and it is among the world’s top three IaaS providers according to Gartner. And IDC points out that Alibaba Cloud is also the largest provider of public cloud services in China.

Alibaba Cloud offers a comprehensive suite of cloud computing services to businesses worldwide such as merchants doing business on Alibaba Group marketplaces, startups, corporations, and public services. And the Alibaba Cloud International Marketplace offers a variety of pre-installed and secure software images on their Elastic Compute Service (ECS).

“We’re excited to partner with Alibaba Cloud-a leading Cloud provider-to extend the global reach of cPanel and WHM. Alibaba’s strong presence across Asia provides our customers the opportunity to grow alongside cPanel in the global community,” said cPanel chief operating officer Todd Mitchell in a statement.

cPanel’s decision to integrate the cPanel & WHM toolset with Alibaba Cloud is a strategic next step for the Internet infrastructure service as it continues to expand its global presence. And by partnering with Alibaba Cloud and making cPanel & WHM readily available, customers can quickly deploy resources and grow their businesses on highly scalable and global infrastructure.

cPanel & WHM is considered an industry-leading web hosting and automation platform. cPanel & WHM builds software that simplifies and automates all of your server management tasks. The service is used for publishing websites, managing email and calendars, file and database management, and system security.

Founded in 1997 by CEO J. Nick Koston, cPanel is based in Houston and employs over 220 team members and supports customers in more than 70 countries.
